Familial Nightmare

Story:

A First Person Narrative Driven Survival Horror game which tells the story of a young man who has returned to the charred remains of his family's Family Manor which burned down in a freak accident during the 1960's, wiping your family's long history amongst the aristocracy aside from you and your sister Angela. A young girl at the time of the fire now full of questions which have driven her to search for them in the only place she can think of, the charred skeleton of the manor. Heading out in search of her you will find the house is not all that it seems, memories still linger within the blackened shell and Familiar shapes move amongst the framework.

Find your sister and unravel the mysteries which haunt the house's memory, remain quiet and and out of sight for the living are not welcome here, solve puzzles and make your way through the house to several different endings based on your behaviour and choices.

Search for Supplies and learn to use a mystic camera casting light on the house's lost past, navigate the environment using knowledge which came before within the present ruins. Unravel the history of your family's long dead as you work to escape this Familial Nightmare.

Public Awareness:

Familial Nightmare is a Survival Horror Game under development by 4 University Students. The premise follows an escape room format, collecting clues and finding supplies to progress. The games puzzles are completed through the use of the Camera which allows for switching between the games two parallel worlds. It is currently a basic Prototype with the hope to release a full demo by September with regular updates and playtests for feedback.
